This method we think is the most Efficient. Steam is such a Hygienic way to clean and is also so much Safer than some other methods. Steam will Kill all Bacteria and will lift Stains out of the material safely and with ease. When using this method you can do so while the curtains are hanging allowing you to get Clean, Fresh smelling curtains without the fuss of taking them off the curtain pole. Perfect for Heavy, Thick fabric Curtains. This also allows the curtains to fully Dry whilst hanging minimising any Creasing. When Steam cleaning your curtains always run the Steam cleaner Slowly over the fabric running from Top to the Bottom making sure you cover the whole thing. Another advantage is that steam doesn't Soak the curtain so Drying times should be considerably Quicker. If you notice the curtain getting too Wet this means your too close and just move a bit further away with the steamer. Always read the Steamers instructions as the steam can be extremely Hot and if misused can cause Burning of your skin.
Some curtains can be Machined washed, you will find the correct washing Instructions on the label inside of most curtains or on the Packaging, Please be sure to check this washing label before putting into a Washing machine, correct Temperature and Drying guidelines should be in place to minimise damage. If these Guidelines are not followed it can lead to the Colours in the fabric to run or the curtains to Shrink in size. Usually only Light curtains have the option to machine wash as some Thicker curtains can retain the Moisture, this can cause issues after the wash has been complete. Usual Detergents and fabric Softeners should be Acceptable for the cycle but a Low Spin and a Cool Wash would usually be advised. If there and No washing instructions and you are unsure whether it's the right method for your curtains don't risk it and seek advice from a Dry cleaners or Professional cleaning company.
